RESTRICTION (Wednesday 19 July 2023 until further notice) There is a tree stuck in the main channel on the Trent between Holme lock and Stoke Lock. The tree is approximately 250m downstream of Radcliffe viaduct. Boaters can get past but are asked to proceed with care. Our local team aims to be on site on Friday with our work boat, and will attempt to clear it out the way. We will update the website accordingly. TL 65230 75767 – Heading Towards Prickwillow Update on 25/07/2023: Further to our reported obstruction advisory navigation notice issued on 18 July for a boat which was adrift on the river Lark, this is now rescinded as the boat has been located and secured. OBSTRUCTION (Tuesday 18 July 2023 until rescinded) Please be aware we have received a report of a boat which has become adrift on the river Lark heading towards Prickwillow. Please proceed with caution if navigating in this area. Brighouse CSF Closure Brighouse CSF is now open and and available for normal use. Contractors will return at some point in the future to complete cosmetic internal repairs. ADVICE (8am Tuesday 18 July 2023 until further notice) Brighouse CSF is currently closed and will require contractors to attend to carry out repairs. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause. An update on this will be provided when we have new information. Starts At: Aqueduct, Bridge 205 Little Leigh We are pleased to advise navigation has resumed between Aqueduct, Bridge 205 Little Leigh and Saltersford Tunnel on the Trent & Mersey Canal. NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8.30am Tuesday 18 July 2023 until further notice) Please be advised navigation and towpath are currently closed between Aqueduct, Bridge 205 Little Leigh and Saltersford Tunnel on the Trent & Mersey Canal due to a large windblown tree. Contractors have been informed and we anticipate they will be onsite this afternoon. An update will be provided this afternoon. Between Bridge 17a and Farndon Marina – River Trent ADVICE (9am-1pm Tuesday 18 July 2023) There is a police training dive taking place today between Bridge 17a and Farndon Marina. The training exercise will be completed by 1pm. Boaters are asked to proceed with care and follow advice on site. Starts: Lock 66 – Hallam Fields Lock Water levels have returned to normal. The navigation is now open Our local team has been continuing with water control along the Erewash today as well as clearing an obstruction from Stanton Lock low side gate. Water levels have started to improve, but the navigation between Stanton Lock and Hallam Field’s Lock will remain closed over the weekend while we continue to manage the situation. All being well, the navigation will be re-opened on Monday and we will update the website accordingly. Due to a drop in water levels, the navigation between Stanton lock 65 and Hallam Fields lock 66 on the Erewash canal remains closed. Our team are carrying out water control to try and bring levels back up. Boaters cannot currently travel along this section. We will update the website on Friday 21st July with further information. Starts At: Blisworth Tunnel North Portal BOOKING INFORMATION (7.30-9am Wednesday 19 July 2023) Blisworth tunnel will be closed to traffic from 07:30, possibly until 09:00 on Wednesday 19th July for the passage of a widebeam boat travelling from Blisworth to Stoke Bruerne. Boats may enter the tunnel if directed to do so by a Trust representative at the tunnel portal or after 08:00 if no representative is present. ADVICE (Wednesday 19 July 2023 for approximately 4 weeks) Please be aware there will be a weed boat working and mobilising on the River Nene for the next few weeks. Pump Out, Anderton Customer Services We are pleased to advise the Pump Out is now back in use at Anderton Customer Service Facilities. Please be advised due to unforeseen circumstances there has been a delay in our contractors attending site to repair the pump out at Anderton Customer Service Facilities. We now anticipate their attendance tomorrow, Thursday 20 July. A further update will be provided tomorrow, Thursday 20 July. ADVICE (4.45pm Monday 17 July 2023 until further notice) Please be advised the Pump Out station at Anderton Customer Service Facilities is currently out of use due to a nozzle fault. Contractors have been informed and we anticipate their attendance Wednesday 19 July. An update will be provided Wednesday 19 July. Bramwith Customer Service Facilities Closed Contractors have attended and the Men’s toilet is now open. ADVICE (10am Monday 17 July 2023 until further notice) The water supply has been cut off to the facilities we are working to get this re-connected as soon as possible. Keadby Ladies Toilets Now open Contractors have attended the toilet is now open. ADVICE (10am Monday 17 July 2023 until further notice) Please be advised the ladies toilets are currently out of order, we will update this notice as soon as the repair is complete. Starts At: Bridge 67, Redditch Road NAVIGATION CLOSURE (10am Saturday 15 July 2023 until further notice) There is a large tree block the navigation and the towpath in between bridge 66 and 67 the contractors have been informed we will update the notes with an estimated time for removal of the tree Dam and temporary works in canal being removed with some divers present in water TOWPATH CLOSURE (Monday 17 July until Friday 21 July 2023) Divers in water to aid removal of temporary portadam adjacent to gasholder site. Navigation to remain open. SR-013-001 The gate has now been repaired and navigation is now open. ADVICE (10.30am Saturday 15 July 2023 until further notice) The top gate at Feakes lock No 7 has been damaged and this means the lock cannot be used until the top gate has been repositioned and repaired.
