Update on 18/01/2021:
The works on site are progressing well with steel fixing and concreting works to the new lock island and new bywash the priority.
We anticipate that we will shortly be in a position to advise of dates and times of when assisted passage will be available through the locks.
As soon as this information is available, we will issue full details of how to book passage.
Update on 10/09/2020:
Following substantial flood damage to Figure of Three locks in March, the towpath between Figure of Three Locks and Horbury Basin remains closed until further notice, to ensure the safety of the public.
The repairs to Figure of Three locks are likely to take until Spring 2021 to complete.
Once the repairs to the towpath side are complete at Figure of Three Locks it may be possible to open a safe route through the working area earlier than Spring 2021 and reopen the towpath
Update on 07/08/2020:
Our contractor, Kier, have started work on site.
They are currently installing a temporary access track to reach the damaged lock.
Update on 02/07/2020:
Work is progressing on engineering designs and permissions for the repairs to the flood damage.
Contractors Kier are planning to start work in July on installing access to the lock.
We anticipate that the repairs will take until Spring 2021 to complete.

As a result of damage caused by Storm Ciara, Figure of Three locks will be closed for the foreseeable future.
Our teams are working to fully assess the damage caused and design a programme of works to bring the locks back into operation.
Our initial estimates are this may take up to a period of 12 months. We will provide further updates as our programme of works becomes clearer.
