IWA Somerset Volunteers, Bridgwater: Meet at IWA blue cabin in Bridgwater Docks TA6 3EX at 10am until around 1pm to continue cutting back and removing branches and brambles along the footpath and canal on the Piggy Hill side of the canal.  If planning to attend, contact volunteer co-ordinator Mike Slade by 6pm Monday on 07977 263840, mike.slade@waterways.org.uk

IWA Somerset Volunteers Taunton: Meet at Canal bridge near Screwfix on the Crown Industrial Estate, Priorswood at 10am working through to around 1.30pm. It is planned to remove some of the vegetation near the Canal starting near Bridge 33. Not far from the Crown Ind Estate. Saturday February 24

IWA Somerset Volunteers, Bridgwater: Meet at IWA blue cabin in Bridgwater Docks TA6 3EX at 10am until around 1.30pm. It is planned to remove litter from the canal and Dock basin using the small boats or the paint flat also to put the final touches for this spring to Piggy Hill canal banks. It is planned to continue with vegetation trimming close to the canal towpath in the Priorswood area for this work session. There are some other tasks in the area to carry out which will be included depending on the number of volunteers attending. Worcester – Birmingham & Droitwich Canals Society: Tardebigge Lime Kilns and Community Gardens project restarts with mowing around the kilns site and the community gardens, cutting back some of the shrubbery. IWA Warwickshire and Lichfield Branches: Clean-up at Hawkesbury Junction, Sutton Stop off Grange Road Coventry CV6 6DF,  joint work party starting near Wash Lane Bridge 21. Meet at 9.30am for 10am start until 1pm. The event will involve using grappling hooks to drag rubbish from the canal bed, plus a litter pick along the towpath.
