Prickwillow Visitor Mooring
ADVICE (Wednesday 26 August 2020 until further notice)
Please note the Environment Agency has received reports, has attended the scene and can confirm a sunken vessel on the River Lark at the recently refurbished Prickwillow Visitor Mooring at the above location. The visitor mooring is currently closed and awaiting re-opening so does not represent a current hazard for visitor mooring users. The River Lark navigation also remains largely unaffected and is still passable with two way traffic at this point. However river users should still approach the area with caution, be aware of the sunken vessel’s presence in the river, left and just on and in front of the upstream extent of the visitor mooring, please pass with care. We are currently investigating, securing the vessel further and starting the process to arrange for removal at a later date, this notice will be rescinded once the vessel has been removed.
