This is a taster of a project undertaken by a group of enthusiasts to rebuild a lost canal and river link to Stafford from the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal at Baswich.
Video & words : Phil (Vlad the Dad UK)
In this lock-down edition (pardon the pun) of Run the Cut, I’ve attempted to stay away from the canal towpaths until it is safer for all.
This fantastic project has captured my imagination and I’m pleased to share just some of the information I’ve discovered.
There’s lot’s more to know and as it says in the video, if you want to find out more about this lost link then please visit their website where there’s much more information and photographs on this great story at https://www.stafford-riverway-link.co.uk.
All the links you will ever need with regard to this project can be found on their website which include links from other fantastic websites such as; www.staffspasttrack.org.uk www.britainfromabove.org.uk.
Once again, thank you to David Jones for sharing his passion for this project and I wish all members of the group good luck in this venture.Enjoy more Towpath Talk reading in the monthly paper. Click here to subscribe.
