Obstruction above head gates. Navigate with caution when entering or exiting the upstream lock cut. All reaches Update 17/02/2024 Following a period of dry weather, the Avon river levels have dropped and are GREEN on all river gauges. Binton Bridge Update 26/04/2024 Fully opened without restriction Wednesday 24/04/24. Days Lock Updated 18/04/2024 Repairs to Days Lock have been completed. River closure notice removed. Bray head lock cut Update 29/04/2024: Tree obstruction removed from Bray head lock cut. NAVIGATION ISSUE (Thursday 18 April 2024 until further notice) A tree has been reported obstructing the upstream lock cut. Boaters should navigate on the layby side of the cut to avoid the tree. Evesham reach RESTRICTION (Wednesday 17 April 2024 until further notice) There is a fallen tree blocking 3/4 of the river width blocking the navigation channel opposite Evesham Rugby Club upstream of the railway bridge, downstream of Hampton Ferry. Denver Complex ADVICE (Wednesday 17 April until Friday 26 April 2024) Please be aware that there are planned works taking place at Denver between 17th April and 26th April 2024. Sonning Lock Update 16/04/2024 Sonning Lock has been repaired NAVIGATION ISSUE (Sunday 14 April 2024 until further notice) Lock closure. Tailgate breakdown Godmanchester Up and Downstream ADVICE (Sunday 14 April 2024 until further notice) REPORTS OF SHOALING Houghton Lock ADVICE (Wednesday 10 April 2024 until rescinded) Please be aware that one of the key clamp posts has corroded and broken away from the vee door gantry. Access across the vee doors has been taped off. The bridge behind is suitable for use to get to each side. We will look to get this repaired as soon as possible Cookham Bridge, Cookham reach Update 10/04/2024: The main downstream navigation arch of Cookham Bridge is obstructed, boaters should use other arches with caution. NAVIGATION ISSUE (Monday 8 April 2024 until further notice) Navigation under Cookham Bridge is currently blocked by pontoons that have come adrift. These will be removed when river conditions allow. Brownshill Lock ADVICE (Thursday 4 April 2024 until rescinded) Please be aware of a log in navigation when accessing Brownshill Lock. Station Road, Littleport ADVICE (Thursday 4 April 2024 until rescinded) Please be aware of a partially sunken vessel at Station Road, Littleport.
Single file traffic width available however we have not been able to test for depth or submerged debris. Pass at own risk. Slow speed and give way to traffic navigating downstream.
Clearance barges will be tackling the issue as soon as possible, further updates to follow.
