A new 2026-built 65ft x 12ft solar-powered electric widebeam sailaway is set to go under the hammer in an online auction ending at 2pm on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
Offered by order of the enforcement agent, the boat was built by Thames Solar Electric Ltd on an Aquarius Boats hull and has been designed with sustainable, off-grid living in mind.
Electric propulsion and solar power
The widebeam is fully electric and diesel-free, with propulsion provided by two 20kW Agni electric motors.

Energy storage comes from a 96kWh battery bank, supported by 21 300W solar panels.
The electrical installation also includes two 5kW inverters/chargers/controllers.
Designed for off-grid living
Alongside its electric propulsion system, the widebeam is fitted with a rainwater harvesting system, while manoeuvring is aided by a bow thruster and hydraulic steering.
The boat also features triple-glazed windows and 70mm triple insulation, helping prepare the shell for future residential use.
Externally, it has professional gloss paintwork and a 2-pack epoxy black hull.
At the stern is a Euro Cruiser layout with wraparound seating and storage.
Ready for an interior fit-out
The boat is being offered as a sailaway, with the interior ready to be fitted out.
According to the auction information, there is space for accommodation for up to six berths, giving the successful bidder the opportunity to complete the layout to suit their own requirements.
