THE Canal & River Trust has been carrying out repair work and maintenance at the Caen Hill pumping station on the Kennet & Avon Canal, writes Kevin Thomas.
It is situated just below Bridge 146 and down from Lock 22 – the Lower Foxhangers Lock. This was due for completion on March 19.
Foxhangers Narrowboat Hire which has its wharf at the pumphouse, is set to re-open for business on April 12.
