LEICESTER Trader, Newark’s very own museum of life on the river will hold its last open days of the season this weekend (Saturday and Sunday September 18-19).

Visitors will be very welcome at the historic barge which is moored close to the Trent Bridge. It is open from 11am to 4.30pm, and it’s free!
A dragon boat event has also been organised on Sunday (September 19) by Beaumond House Community Hospice and Children’s Bereavement Centre.

It will take place between Newark Town Lock and Trent Bridge on the River Trent.
