Winnington Island River Wall Inspection
Starts At: Winnington Swing Bridge
Ends At: Barnton Cut Visitor Moorings
ADVICE (8am-5pm Thursday 31 August 2023)
Please be advised third-party divers will be in the canal between Winnington Swing Bridge and Barnton Sluice on the River Weaver to carry out detailed inspection of the river wall on the north side of Winnington island via diving and a safety boat.
Whilst navigation will remain open, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop to allow the contractors to move out the way for safe passage.
We anticipate a wait of no longer than 30 minutes. Warning signs, diving flags will be in place.
Please listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors and take note of the signage onsite.
