A Third-Party Works Diving Survey is to take place at railway viaducts 5 & 7 at Sawley Locks on the Upper Trent, near to Long Eaton.
The survey is scheduled for the assessment of the underwater condition of a railway bridge. During this period, divers will require the use of a pontoon to conduct their work.
The diving operations will take place at the downstream approach to the locks.
To ensure the safety of the diving team, passing craft may experience delays of up to 30 minutes to facilitate the movement of the diving team and craft out of the way.
Passing craft should navigate the works location at a ‘dead slow’ speed, exercise caution, and maintain single file.
Please note that the towpath will remain open for use.
