ADVICE (8am Monday 28 August until 6pm Friday 15 December 2023)
Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite between Bridge 186 and Bridge 185, Griffiths Road on the Trent & Mersey Canal to replace electricity cables over the canal and towpath just south of bridge 186.
To be able to carry out these works, safety netting supported by temporary scaffolding over both sides of the canal will be in place.
Whilst both the towpath and navigation will remain open, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to wait if asked to do so, whilst contractors make the area safe to pass. The wait should be no longer than 30 minutes.
Warning signs will be in place. Please listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors on site.
