Update on 05/12/2022:
Unfortunately vandals have thrown the scaffolding and a traffic barrier into the canal at this location.
The contractors doing the works will be on site this afternoon to try and remove this. Please take extra care if passing.

The end date will now be Friday 9th December.

Please be advised there will be bridge repairs from scaffolding across the canal and towpath.
The towpath and navigation will remain open at all times, however short delays may be encountered during the scaffold erection and dismantling processes.
During these periods navigation and towpath users will be safely managed through the work area.
