Keadby Rail Drawbridge
Update on 06/09/2023:
Network rail have informed us that they experienced difficulties with closing the bridge for Rail traffic this morning,
Therefore to mitigate further issues during this spell of hot weather they will do one movement a day between 0800-0830 with staff on site.
This will continue until Monday morning 11/09 when this will be reviewed with the cooler weather arriving back.
If this changes we will update the notice.
Update on 05/09/2023:
We have received information from Network Rail that a morning passage will be possible during the hot weather. This will be at 9am.
We will update this notice when passages will be returning to twice daily.

Update on 05/09/2023:
Network Rail have advised that there will be no swing available until 12 hours after the temperature drops below 26 degrees.
It may be possible to be swung in mornings, this will be a decision of Network Rail.
Boaters can be advised to keep in contact with the lockkeeper, who can advise on updates.

The bridge continues to close when the temperature on track rises above 26 degrees. This week in particular we are expecting high temperatures and therefore Network Rail will not be able to operate the structure.
