We are pleased to advise the repair to Lock 3, Northgate Top Lock on the Shropshire Union Canal has been successful and navigation has resumed.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (9.15am Thursday 14 September 2023 until further notice)
Please be advised navigation is currently closed at Lock 3, Northgate Top Lock on the Shropshire Union Canal due to a paddle fault. Our local team are now on site undertaking necessary repairs.
To ensure the safety of our customers, padlocks have been placed on Lock 1, Northgate Bottom Lock and Lock 3, Northgate Top Lock to prevent access on to the Northgate flight.
An update will be provided this afternoon.
