The tree has now been cleared.

The local team have been able to trim enough of the tree back so it is not completely blocking navigation, so boats can move past it.
Please proceed with care.
We are hoping the contractors will be clearing the rest of the tree either by the end of the day or tomorrow.

There is a tree down blocking navigation at Bridge 57 on the Shropshire Union Canal.
