We are pleased to advise the tree has been removed and the canal is now open at Bridge 133 on the Shropshire Union Canal.
Update on 25/02/2022:
Please be advised navigation remains restricted at Bridge 133 on the Shropshire Union Canal due to a windblown tree partially blocking offside navigation.
Whilst navigation remains open, it is advised all customers to navigate through the affected area with care.
Please note, due to the ongoing adverse weather, there is a high demand on our contractors across the North West. We will endeavour to remove this obstruction as soon as able.
An update will be provided by Monday 7 March.
