Sandbar
Jordans Lock
ADVICE (11.30am Wednesday 29 November 2023 until further notice)
Following recent storm events, we’ve been made aware of a sandbar that has formed across the navigable channel upstream of Jordon’s lock. It is currently navigable with a depth of 1.5ft fresh water in the river, however care should be exercised, particularly as river levels drop.
We will monitor this as our workboats pass this area and are happy to take customer feedback on their observations as they pass.
Arrangements are being made for the sandbar to be dredged, however we do not yet have a timescale for this taking place.
