Lock 8 Mayroyd
Update on 26/05/2023:
Lock 8 and Lock 9 are open and will remain open over the bank holiday.
We are currently in the process of installing a pump in at Lock 16 which will help to improve the water levels in this section.
ADVICE (10.30am Thursday 25 May until 10am Friday 26 May 2023)
Lock 9 (Blackpit Lock) has been opened this morning. Unfortunately due to the low water levels in the pound between Lock 8 and Lock 9, Lock 8 shall remain closed for the rest of the day.
We will assess this tomorrow morning.
