Sinkhole between Bridge 11 and Bridge 12 (advice for towpath users)
Starts At: Bridge 11, Midgely Road Bridge
Ends At: Bridge 12, Redacre Road Bridge
ADVICE (2.45pm Tuesday 12 December 2023 until further notice)
A sinkhole has occurred on the towpath, just upstream of Bridge 11, Midgely Road Bridge.
The local team are aware of it and will be placing fencing around the sinkhole as soon as possible.to make it safe for towpath users to walk around it.
Could towpath users, please be vigilant when using the towpath in this area.
