Update on 05/01/2024:
We have been informed by the third party leading on this work, that the following three out of four dates will be cancelled due to high water levels.
Cancelled dates –
Friday 12 January 2024
Wednesday 17 January 2024
Thursday 18 January 2024.
Works on Tuesday 9 January 2024 will still go ahead as planned, as they will be oversailing the river as it is safer to do so.
The cancelled dates will be rescheduled following consultation with our third party contractors.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8am Tuesday 9 January until 4pm Thursday 18 January 2024)
Worcestershire County Council would like to add this additional stoppage to the Winter Works Programme.
A new pedestrian/cycle bridge is being constructed over the river at this location. They will need to close the river for 4 days throughout their programme to lift large sections of the bridge into place with a crane.
We have worked closely with them to try and keep the closures to a Tuesday or Wednesday when the navigation is already closed but unfortunately this was not possible for all of the dates.
