Tree in Navigation upstream of Scarborough Bridge
Scarborough Rail Bridge
Update on 13/01/2021:
The river levels are still too high to remove the debris safely.
We hope to be able to remove the vegetation on the week commencing the 18.01.2021 when we are hoping that the water levels will have returned to a normal flow and level.
ADVICE (12noon Thursday 7 January 2021 until further notice)
There is a tree present in the navigation upstream of Scarborough Bridge close to the buttress of the bridge. The positioning of the tree is not causing any restriction to the channel at both sides of the buttress or any danger to boaters.
Could skippers of all crafts please slow down and approach the area with caution.
Due to fast flowing currents at the moment, we are unable to remove it safely but we hope to remove the tree next week.
