Maintenance works at Boothferry Road Bridge
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (until 5pm Sunday 15 May 2022)
Update on 03/05/2022:
Boothferry bridge will not have a bridge operator on the 13th May 2022 between the hours of 6am – 2pm.
The bridge is under a closure for the works at Boothferry bridge so boats should not be travelling under the swing section of the structure / navigation channel.
Update on 01/04/2022:
East Yorkshire council are unable to provide skippers of craft wishing to pass under the bridge a suitable safe air draft.
This is due to the scaffolding underneath the structure of the bridge, therefore the navigation is closed at this point.
For further information please contact Boothferry bridge (01430 430256 )
Apologies for any inconvenience this causes
Update on 11/03/2022:
East Riding of Yorkshire Council have advised us that the maintenance works are to be extended until the 15 May 2022, due to a number of issues that have delayed the completion of the scheme.
These have been delayed due to to covid, delays in obtaining maintenance parts and the previous weather conditions of storms and high water levels.
Vessels not requiring a swing will still be able to pass the bridge, but skippers should contact the bridge operators in advance of passage to check available air draft by calling 01430 430256
