Update: 21/11/2023

Strong Stream Advice has now been lifted on the River Nene. We appreciate that river users have been unable to navigate on the river whilst Strong Stream was in force so would like to make you
aware that the Winter Works Programme at Warmington Lock, Wansford Lock, Upper Barnwell Lock and Lilford Lock will now commence at 07:00 on Thursday 23rd November 2023 at such point
navigation will not be possible through these locks.
Therefore, should you need to do so please navigate to winter/home moorings or a safe location today and tomorrow prior to the Winter Works commencing this Thursday. Please be aware
that there may be restricted headroom at some locations and to
navigate with caution during this period.

Update: 15/11/2023

In order to avoid confusion for river users we would like to advise that although the reversed locks used to regulate river flows and levels on the Nene have been put back to normal, there remains a
large amount of water in the system being run-off via sluices and limited headroom at some sites.
Additionally, there is further rain forecast in the next few days and we are monitoring this as well as river levels and flows. Should we have an update regarding Strong Stream we will update this notice
as well as issuing it on our usual social media platforms.

We are also in discussions regarding the planned Winter Works programme and appreciate your understanding that due to being in Strong Stream and the advance forecast that there remains some
uncertainty and difficulty with planning these works.
