EMERGENCY RESTRICTION (Monday 11 September 2023 until rescinded)
Further to our Reported Obstruction Advisory Notice issued earlier today (11/09/23), we have now had sight of the tree in the river and have upgraded this to an Emergency Restriction Navigation Notice.
Arrangements will be made to remove the tree from the river as soon as we can.
Navigation is still possible by using the opposite side of the channel but would advise exercising extreme caution if proceeding.
OBSTRUCTION (Monday 11 September 2023 until rescinded)
Please be aware we have received a report of a tree which has fallen into the navigation on the left handside of the channel downstream of Hemingford Lock (W3W location ///protrude.shiney.liked) which we will look into as soon as it is practical to do so. It is still possible to navigate on the opposite side on the channel but extreme care must be taken.
