Brownshill Lock
Update on 26/06/2023:
Power has been restored at Brownshill Lock which is now open again. Our Emergency Closure Notice issued yesterday evening (25/6/23) has been rescinded.
EMERGENCY CLOSURE (Sunday 25 June 2023 until rescinded)
Due to a mechanical / electrical fault please note that Brownshill Lock is currently closed under an Emergency Navigation Closure until further notice. Engineers have been notified and are due to attend site but in
the meantime please do not attempt to navigate through this lock. Moorings in the vicinity and the landing stages may be busier than usual and be occupied by craft whilst this issue is investigated and rectified.
Please note nearest public visitor moorings located upstream are in St Ives and Holywell, located in Earith downstream. We will rescind this notice once the problem has been resolved or provide further updates as
necessary.
