Update on 10/01/2023:
The navigation advisory notice issued on 3 Jan for a tree in the river near Houghton Lock has been rescinded.
OBSTRUCTION ADVICE (Tuesday 3 January 2023 until rescinded)
We have received a report of a large tree which has fallen across the river
close to Houghton Lock (NGR – TL 28158 71982) which is partially blocking
navigation.
As soon as it practical to do so, we will look into this report but in the
meantime we request if navigating in this area (subject to current River
Advice to Boaters) then please proceed with extreme caution.
