Works associated with the construction of a new section of pontoons for leisure users located immediately north of the existing pontoons will commence on or about 12th August 2020 and last approx. 6 weeks

Initially a pontoon will be towed from Denver to Kings Lynn and will form the floating base for the following works:

• the installation of 4 new floating pontoon floats and associated works to connect water and power
• the replacement of the existing pontoon float supporting the walkway
• refurbishment of decking & services to existing section of pontoon

These works will involve operations on the river with a 18m x 11m steel pontoon and associated workboats and plant. All river users, including swimmers and paddlers are to keep well clear of the construction site at all times as unusual currents or eddies may be experienced. Boat operators are reminded of need to ensure that any wash created does not interfere with the works or other river users.

The working pontoon will be marked at night by yellow flashing lights.

The leisure pontoons will be a worksite throughout, with no access for all members of the public, and there will be strictly no mooring of leisure craft permitted.
