Update on 13/10/2022:
The lock has reopened and this notice is now rescinded.
EMERGENCY CLOSURE (Wednesday 12 October 2022 until rescinded)
Please be aware Hermitage Lock is currently closed due to the sudden
failure of the hydraulic pumps to the lock’s V doors.
An engineer has been requested to attend as soon as possible and a
further update to this notice will be issued then.
