NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8am Monday 4 March until 4pm Wednesday 6 March 2024)
Please be advised, the gate refit at Lock 27, Little Bourton, is no longer going ahead in this stoppage period, we have re-prioritised the team to lock 35, Heyford Common, where the top gate refit is needed.
The works at lock 35 were scheduled to be done alongside the bottom gate refit back in November but did not go ahead due to the time on site being reduced by flooding.
This means lock 27 will no longer be closed.

A stoppage is required to refit the top gate and reduce leaks. Whilst this stretch of the canal is already closed due to essential piling works at Bridge 219a, the Trust will carry out these works at the same time to minimise future disruption.
