NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8am-3.30pm Wednesday 21 February 2024)
Please be advised we’re having to carry out repairs at Hillmorton Lock 7, to repair the offside ground paddle. We believe the problem is caused by the paddle coming off the rod, or possibly a problem with the paddle grooves. This is making the lock very slow to drain, meaning boats are having to queue for a considerable amount of time.
We’re therefore looking to close the lock on Wednesday 21st February, from 8AM to 3:30PM. The works taking place will include drainage of the pound below in attempt to rectify this issue. This will also mean the towpath will be closed at this location too.
