The tree has now been cleared and both towpath and canal are open.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8.30am Sunday 9 July 2023 until further notice)
A tree has fallen across the towpath, obstructing the towpath and navigation.
Works to remove the tree are currently being organised and an update will be provided as soon as possible when the navigation is clear.
