The car has now been lifted out of the canal.

NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8am Monday 14 November until 5pm Tuesday 15 November 2022)
Please be advised there is a car in the New Main Line canal at Factory Lock 3 in Tipton.
We currently have police on site. There are no signs of pollution yet but we will continue to monitor.
Our contractors are hoping to get the car out by tomorrow but please look out for further updates.
