ADVICE (8am Monday 3 July until 6pm Friday 14 July 2023)
Further to the notice below, contractors on behalf of National Grid will be excavating a trial hole in the canal bridge week commencing the 3rd July 2023 to ascertain if there is adequate depth on the bridge deck to overlay an existing high voltage underground electricity cable.
Once the depth is confirmed the contractor will excavate and carry out the overlay works week commencing the 10th July 2023.
The canal and towpath will remain open but the area should be approached with caution.
