Update on 24/10/2023:
Due to the recent extreme weather conditions, we have not been able to progress with the towpath works as planned.
We will have a further update with regards these towpath works by 5pm on Wednesday 25th October.

TOWPATH CLOSURE (Monday 27 March 2023 until Friday 7 July 2023)
To ensure the safety of the public and our contractors the towpath will be closed between Union Basin and Turnover Bridge on the Market Harborough Arm.
This is for improvement works starting at the end of March for 15 weeks.
The project is to improve the 2km stretch by resurfacing the towpath in a tar and chip surface.
We ask that boats do not moor on this section during the works.
