Please be advised that third-party contractors will be onsite between bridge 45, Leek New Road bridge and bridge 47, Broadhursts Swing bridge on the Macclesfield Canal.
The third-party contractors will be carrying out drainage works for the new housing development and will be constructing a surface water outfall on the offside bank of the canal.
Whilst the navigation and towpath will remain open, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop if necessary.
Please take note of the signage and to listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors onsite.
