RESTRICTION (8am Monday 15 January until 5pm Friday 9 February 2024)
Contractors working for Historical Railways Estate will be removing vegetation, carrying out repairs and installing fencing to the disused railway bridge via a temporary pontoon. The canal and towpath will remain open but please approach with caution and be prepared to wait for the pontoon to be moved out of the way.
The canal is closed to the north and south of this site for the Trust’s winter works. An additional closure is not required for the third party works but they have been scheduled to coincide with the stoppages to reduce disruption to boaters and the contractors.
