The broken top lock paddle has been fixed this morning by the maintenance team. Foxton locks are now open.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (Monday 11 September 2023 until further notice)
Foxton Lock flight has been closed with immediate affect due to the top lock paddle being broken.
Our volunteers are currently clearing the flight of boats and then no more will be allowed passage through the locks until this situation has been resolved.
Engineers are attending site today to assess the extent of the damage, and we aim to have the maintenance team on site tomorrow to begin the repairs.
We will update the website tomorrow with further information.
