Bridge 111D, Simpson’s Bridge
RESTRICTION (7am Monday 22 November until 7pm Friday 31 December 2021)
Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite at Bridge 111D, Simpsons Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool canal to carry out repointing and reconstruction of the bridge parapet wall.
To be able to carry out these works, scaffolding will be installed spanning from the back of the towpath to the offside bank. The minimum headroom of 2.6m to be maintained above the canal but will be reduced over towpath
Whilst both the towpath and navigation will remain open, customers may be asked to wait no longer than 30 minutes to allow the third-party contractors to make way for a safe passage.
We politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors on site.
