Bridge 78, Bagganley Bridge
Update on 22/02/2022:
We are pleased to advise the tree obstructing the towpath and navigation has been removed and the canal is now open at Bridge 78, Bagganley Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (2.30pm Monday 21 February 2022 until further notice)
Please be advised the towpath is closed and navigation is restricted to narrowboats only at Bridge 78, Bagganley Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal due to a windblown tree. Narrowboats are advised to pass the obstruction with caution on the non-towpath side. Please call the North West team on 03030 404040 if you experience any difficulties.
Please note, due to the ongoing adverse weather, there is a high demand on our contractors across the North West. We will endeavour to remove this obstruction as soon as able.
An update will be provided on Wednesday, 23 February.
