We are pleased to advise the tree partially blocking navigation has been removed and the canal is now clear at Bridge 136, Hawkes House Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

Update on 13/12/2021:

Our contractors continue to work through a number of fallen trees across the region following Storm Arwen. Navigation remains open, and we politely request all customers to navigate through the affected area with care until the windblown tree at Bridge 136, Hawkes House Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has been removed.

Our contractors are working through a number of fallen trees across the region on a priority basis. Navigation remains open, however we politely request all customers to navigate through the affected area with care until the windblown tree at Bridge 136, Hawkes House Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has been removed.

An update will be provided by Friday, 10 December.

RESTRICTION (10am Friday 3 December 2021 until further notice)

Please be advised there is a windblown tree at Bridge 136, Hawkes House Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, partially blocking navigation. Contractors have been informed and we anticipate they will be on site next week to remove the obstruction.

Navigation will remain open, however we politely request all customers to navigate through the affected area with care.
