We are pleased to advise the tree obstructing navigation has been removed and the canal is now open between Bridge 88, Ellel Hall Bridge and Bridge 89, New Park Bridge on the Lancaster Canal.

Update on 20/10/2022:
Please be advised due to unforeseen circumstances there has been a delay in our contractors attending to site to facilitate removal of the windblown tree.
We now anticipate their attendance tomorrow, 21 October.
A further update will be provided tomorrow afternoon.

Please be advised navigation is closed between Bridge 88, Ellel Hall Bridge and Bridge 89, New Park Bridge on the Lancaster Canal due to a windblown tree.
Contractors have been informed and we anticipate they will be on site today to remove the obstruction.
