Lock 75, Dunmill Lock
Update on 26/04/2022:
Further to the notice below, please be advised that our teams are finishing the temporary repairs this morning at Dunmill Lock.
However, we will need some time for the cement to dry and therefore the lock will be re opened at 2pm today.
Update on 19/04/2022:
Further to the notice below, we are pleased to advise that engineers have attended site this morning to inspect the lock.
It will now be operational between the hours of 8am and 4pm daily but locked outside of these hours so that it can’t be left full overnight.
A temporary repair will take place next week, after which we will be pleased to lift the restriction.
We will update this notice when we have further information.
Update on 14/04/2022:
Please be advised that our teams have been successful in completing a temporary repair of Dunmill lock in order to facilitate restricted opening.
Our teams will be on site to operate the lock daily between the hours of 12:00 and 15:00 from 15th April in order to ensure that no further damage to the Grade 2 Listed structure occurs, whilst safely allowing boats to navigate through.
We are mobilising our construction teams from w/c 18th April in order to facilitate a full repair and opening the lock fully to customers. This may involve another closure later on next week in order to facilitate a further repair.
We apologise for the delay and will update as soon as we have further information.
