We kindly ask customers, in preparation for the works at Heathy lock, not to moor between Lock 52, Heathy Close Lock & Lock 51, Wootton Rivers.
We are not able to control water levels in this pound whilst the works progress.

Update on 09/06/2023:
Please be advised that an underwater inspection has revealed a probable fault with the gate cup and pintle causing the bottom offside gate to jam. The concrete surround to the cup has disintegrated causing the gate to drop & drag on the bottom of the lock trapping debris. We will understand more of the scope of the work when we dewater and have planned for teams to arrive on site on Thursday morning (15th) along with a fabric dam ready for us to lower the levels by mid-morning.
This will mean that Heathy lock will be closed to all navigation from the 15th June through to the morning of the 21st June so we can complete the work.
We will update this notice with progress when we are able.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8am-12noon Wednesday 7 June 2023)
Please be advised that a navigation closure will need to be introduced for the de-watering of the pound between Wootton Rivers Lock 51 and Heathy Close Lock 52.
This is to facilitate the works to remove the blockage at Heathy Close Lock.
No mooring or transition between the locks will be permitted in this pound whilst the dewatering takes place
