Lock 12, Shop Lock to Stockton Lock 11 (Blue Lias Pound)

Update on 11/03/2022:
Due to unforeseen circumstances the valve replacement works have been extended to include 14th and 15th of March. Levels within the pound will remain at normal levels until Monday and Tuesday when levels will need to be dropped to accommodate works, as previously described.
Levels will be returned to normal as soon as works have been completed. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Essential works are required to replace two major valves at Stockton Pumping Station. These valves are required for the Trust to maintain water resources for navigation.
The works will be undertaken in the direct area below Lock 11. Water levels will be lowered between Locks 11 and 12 (Blue Lias pound) by approximately 300mm for an estimated 1-2 days during the period of the works.
Navigation will still be possible with caution. Levels will be restored as soon as the new valves have been installed.
