Bridge 147 Winkwell Swing bridge
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (5.30pm Monday 16 October 2023 until further notice)
Due to a mechanical failure of the bridge locking mechanism, we have had to shut the bridge for safety.
The towpath remains open.
The bridge is still able to be crossed over by vehicles.
Engineers are due on site Tuesday morning (17.10.2023) to review the mechanism.
This notice shall be updated on Tuesday lunchtime.
