Due to due to unforeseen circumstances there has been a delay in the contractor’s programme and the towpath is expected to be reopened on 10/11/23.
Contractors will still work on the area until 17/11/23, but the towpath will be reopened on 10/11/23.
TOWPATH CLOSURE (7am Monday 23 October until 6pm Friday 3 November 2023)
Third party contractors are carrying out maintenance and improvement works to the gas valves under the towpath north of Bridge 86, Woodcock Lane.
The towpath will be closed from Bridge 86, Woodcock Lane to the access point onto the towpath west of Bridge No. 86A to facilitate these works. The towpath will be closed from Monday 23rd October to Friday 3rd November.
A diversion route will be in place. Signage, fencing and marshals will be used to manage traffic.
