TOWPATH CLOSURE (7.30am Monday 11 October until 6.30pm Friday 15 October 2021)

Please be advised that the towpath between Sellars Swing Bridge and Rea Swing Bridge will be closed from Monday 11th October for a period of 5 days.

This closure is to facilitate stone chip surface dressing of the recently completed towpath upgrade works; although these works will be weather dependent.

Access will be maintained for the residents of properties situated immediately north of Sellars Bridge and for the permanent moorings within 200m of the bridge.

A direct diversion route between Sellars and Rea bridges is available via a pedestrian / cycle track that runs parallel to the canal at the back of Quedgeley.

Furthermore, due to maintenance works concurrently taking place on Rea Bridge, there will be no pedestrian access across the bridge during these surface dressing works.

As such, a further diversion route is available between Rea and Sims bridges if necessary.
