We are pleased to advise the obstruction has been removed from Lock 5 and navigation has resumed along the Glasson Branch.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (11.45am Monday 16 October 2023 until further notice)
Please be advised navigation is currently closed between Lock 1 and Lock 6 along the Glasson Branch of the Lancaster Canal due to an issue with the headgate preventing operation at Lock 5.
Our local team are investigating, and a further update will be provided by Wednesday 18 October.
