Update on 19/07/2022:

The navigation has now been opened between Shipley Lock and Langley Mill. However, boaters are asked to proceed with caution as the water levels are still lower then we would like, due to the continued hot weather. Update on 15/07/2022:

Our local team have been working hard all week and water levels are starting to come back up.

However, due to the continued hot weather, we might not have the water levels back to normal until after the weekend.

We request that boaters still don’t travel along this section and we will update the website as soon as we know more.

Update on 12/07/2022:

Due to vandalism and our lock gates being left open, the water levels have dropped between Shipley Lock and Langley Mill Lock.

Our local team are working to get the water levels back up as quickly as possible, but in the meantime, boaters are asked not to travel along this section.

As soon as the water levels are back to normal, we will update the website accordingly, but this could take a few days due to how low the water now is.

NAVIGATION CLOSURE (Tuesday 12 July 2022 until further notice)

Our local team are working to get the water levels back up as quickly as possible, but in the meantime, boaters are asked not to travel along this section.
